Dr Sudipta Chakraborty joined the Department of English as an Assistant Professor in January 2025. Dr. Chakraborty received her PhD in South Asian Religious Studies from IIT Kharagpur, and an MPhil in American Modernist fiction from the Department of English, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Dr. Chakraborty’s interests center upon Religious Studies, particularly Indic Goddess Tradition, Health Humanities and South Asian Healing. She has completed three courses on Religious Studies from the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, Oxford, United Kingdom.
